Wow Hey Look

Like Radiohead? Do this. Crossfade 10 seconds. Begin Trip.

by Mike Acheson on December 14, 2010

Alternate merge of OK Computer and In Rainbows.

I’m more than willing to assist if you need any more help, i.e. “crossfade settings in iTunes”, or whatevahs.

“OK Computer In Rainbows” into an anagram machine, “Combination Super Work”… Holy Shit. This is phenom.

Keep in mind these albums are 10 years apart. Not only musically do they merge, but lyrically as well. Thom’s a complete stud with a huge cock.

itunes. preferences. playback. check crossfade songs, adjust to 10 seconds.

Mike Acheson December 27, 2010 at 1:36 pm

itunes at the top, down to preferences. Click the playback icon at the top, and that will open up the options. Check the crossfade box, then slide the slider to ten seconds. Hit save.

What is cross fading?

Mike Acheson February 24, 2011 at 4:04 pm

Having one song fade out, while the next song starts playing into the last song. Continuous music with a bit of an overlap, in which both songs can be heard. Mixing these two albums using the crossfade makes for one hell of a listening experience (if you really enjoy Radiohead).

how do they merge lyrically?

Mike Acheson May 22, 2012 at 5:23 pm

Woah. Never thought about that. I’ve listened to it at least a dozen times… Time to revisit. I’d be amazed if lyrically there was a correlation.

Do the crossfade settings save when you put the playlist on your iPod?

Mike Acheson August 16, 2012 at 8:59 pm

Unfortunately, no. The settings are device based.
